This project was a long road, physically, mentally and duration wise! It started off with an idea back in September 2018 and thankfully I managed to get backing from the amazing charity MAF UK to fund the project to raise money and awareness for them at a big festival called Big Church Day Out where we knew there would be over 30,000 people there over a weekend who could eat the rocky road.
I will go into detail below about what it takes to break a world record as it’s not easy but MAF Australia put together an amazing video documenting the challenge so do check that out below for a quick overview of the record attempt.
So what does it take to break a world record and how did we do it?
Well firstly it takes a team to pull off something this big, so massive thanks to the guys at MAF who believed in the crazy concept I proposed in 2018. Then a massive thanks to the MAF site staff who were on hand at the event and to the team Matt, Eirian, Ed, Hazel & Steve who laboured hard to make it happen on the day.

Conclusion
Doing a world record and having a world record is very fun, doing all the prep work and the pressure of that less so! Thankfully I had a great team around me, a fun idea and a great cause to keep me going for – if you fancy trying to break a world record I’d encourage you to do it in aid of something else as then it’s well worth it.
