Full Moon, Half Moon, Total Eclipse as the McVities advert goes is what occurred to this beauty of a snack. The standard McVities Jaffa cake measure in at 5.4cm diameter, but this jaffa cake snack was pimped up to the max (well as big as the oven could take!) measuring up as 40cm diameter.
This took some ingenuity to work out how to cook but it turns out that paella dish that your great aunty bought you for Christmas a few years ago that’s gathering dust rather than sea food is perfect as a large cake tin! So this cake consisted of a beautifully moist Victoria sponge base, with only the finest Rowntree’s jelly set on top and topped off with dark chocolate.
Through this exercise we can also confirm to the HMRC that for all tax purposes the humble ‘Jaffa Cake’ is in-fact a cake and not a biscuit as our recipe below shows.
This pimped up Jaffa was actually for a charity event supporting young Brazilian girls out of child prostitution through dance workshops and safe places to live – do check them out (Medinadanca).
